Privacy policy

Last updated: 19 October 2026

In short: we collect only what we need to contact you and run your tags. We don't collect your customers' names, numbers or Google accounts, we don't use advertising trackers, and we don't sell data.

1. Who we are

Revone, a sole proprietorship of Bharath Chand at [PLACEHOLDER: business address], is the data fiduciary for the personal data described here. Contact: hello@revone.in.

2. What we collect

When you join the waitlist or contact us

Your name, business name, business type, area and phone/WhatsApp number, and anything you choose to tell us in messages.

When you become a Revone merchant

Your business details, your Google review link, contact details, delivery address, and billing records such as invoices and the status of your UPI AutoPay mandate. Payments are processed by an RBI-authorised payment provider; we never see or store your UPI PIN, card number or bank login.

When someone taps a Revone tag

We don't ask for or collect the customer's name, number or Google account. For each tap our server records the time, which tag was tapped, browser and device information (the user-agent, for example “Android phone”), the referring page if any, and a one-way hash of the IP address that changes every day. The hash lets us estimate unique phones without storing the IP address itself. Reviews are written on Google, under Google's own privacy policy.

Technical logs and our hosting providers

Revone runs on Fly.io servers in Mumbai. Our own software never writes your IP address to a log or database. To count unique visitors we keep only a one-way code made from your IP address with a secret that is replaced every day and then deleted, so it can't be turned back into your IP address or matched across days. Our application logs (errors and similar, without IP addresses) are kept by Fly.io for about 7 days in the United States. Fly.io says it does not normally store request logs. We don't use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

When you visit this website

We don't use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third-party analytics on this website.

If you are a customer who tapped a Revone tag

You don't need an account and we don't know who you are. The tap details above are used only to count taps for the business whose tag you tapped and to keep the service working. Whether you write a review, and what it says, is between you and Google. Because we don't store your name, number or IP address, we usually can't find tap records linked to you, but you can still contact us at hello@revone.in with any question or grievance.

3. Why we use it

  • To reply to you, arrange a demo and tell you when Revone reaches your area (based on your consent).
  • To set up, run, support and bill the Service, and to send service messages such as payment reminders.
  • To show merchants how often each tag is used, and to keep the Service secure and working.
  • To meet legal, tax and accounting duties.

We don't sell personal data, and we don't use it for advertising.

4. Who we share it with

Only with service providers who help us run Revone, under contract and only for these purposes: hosting (Fly.io), payments (an RBI-authorised payment provider), messaging (WhatsApp Business by Meta, SMS or email providers), and couriers for delivery. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.

Where your data is processed

Our servers are in Mumbai, India. Some providers process data outside India: Fly.io keeps our application logs (without IP addresses) in the United States, and WhatsApp messages are handled by Meta, which may process them outside India.

5. How long we keep it

  • Waitlist details: until you ask us to delete them, or [PLACEHOLDER: e.g. 24 months] after our last contact.
  • Merchant and billing records: while you're a customer, then as long as tax and accounting law requires.
  • Tap records: [PLACEHOLDER: e.g. 24 months, then kept only as totals].

6. Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can ask to access, correct, update or erase your personal data, withdraw consent at any time (this doesn't affect anything done before), nominate someone to act for you, and raise a grievance. Email hello@revone.in. We acknowledge every request or grievance within 48 hours and resolve it within one month. If you're not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

7. Grievance officer

[PLACEHOLDER: grievance officer name] · Grievances are acknowledged within 48 hours and resolved within one month · hello@revone.in · [PLACEHOLDER: business address]

8. Security

We use reasonable security measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted access and hashing where possible. No system is perfectly secure; if there is a breach, we will tell you and the authorities where the law requires.

9. Children

Revone is a service for businesses and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18 through our forms. If a child taps a Revone tag, only the limited technical details described above are recorded.

10. Changes

We may update this policy and will show the date of the latest version at the top of this page. For important changes, we will tell merchants directly.
